ABOUT SURF MUSEUM HAWAII

Honoring the Legacy

Surf Museum Hawaii was established to honor Hawaii as the indisputable birthplace of surfing. Our permanent exhibit takes visitors on a journey from the earliest recorded history of wave riding in Polynesia through to Hawaii’s undeniable influence on global surf culture of today. Meanwhile, we bring in quarterly exhibits to showcase the arts, culture, lifestyle, and history of the Sport of Kings (and Queens).

For the first time in decades we (Hawaiians) feel validated for our contribution to the world of surfing. Mahalo SMH!
